Picked up a 2016 Spider and drove her 250 miles to her new home.

Rosso Competizione, Preferred, Convenience, Carbon fiber Trim, Track Pack 3, Bi-Xenon, Sport Exhaust18"/18" Dark Fan Wheels, Red Calipers. :grin2:

As a former Elise owner, I found the 4C is very "familiar" and Elise like.. but updated. Pretty much every comparison I've read is spot on.

If you're a former Lotus or current Elige owner looking for something similar but new, this is it!

Congrats! I recently saw a review of a Evora 400 in the US... Actually kind of liked it... But Carbon Fiber is way more sexy...

Now if I can stuff 400 - 450 bhp in the Alfa...MUAHAHAHA

Welcome to the 4C forum. You will love the car. Of course you have to put up with lack of space, noise, firm ride...oh wait you come from owning a Lotus ;-) Seriously though...Lotus Exige was the only other car I would have considered but no longer available in the US. But I think you will find the ALFA is a bit more updated technology and performance wise. Not sure about the Evora...think I still prefer the 4C. And if you want even more power check out EC.

Now that I've had some seat time, I have to comment on the transmission. This was one of my biggest concerns.. Would the 4C give me the driving experience I loved from my Lotus.

Well I couldn't be happier. While I am a fan of manuals in driver cars, the twin clutch is awesome. Love being able to set the car to my driving mood >:) Don't miss the manual at all.. Which really surprised me.

Want to snap up and down the gears in some spirited driving? No problem.. Dynamic mode set to manual. Minutes later I can let my step-daughter (with only a learner's permit :surprise: and no manual experience) drive in auto. Simply brilliant!

I freak'n love this car! :grin2:

I'm keeping my Elise for now, so I have a 4C Spider and an Elise in my garage, both yellow. They do drive differently, and I like the manual in the Elise. The Elise seems a bit more connected to the road and a bit more sparse. The 4C is more solid and the engine is a blast -- the turbo is always spun up and ready to go.

To me, they both offer different but enjoyable driving experiences. Now my question is always which one to drive when I'm headed out!

The other one.
