Hello Everyone

Yesterday I drove home a 2016 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider

I almost did not get one as I had an awful experience at the first dealership I went to, but the second dealership and the second one I drove lived up to everything I had read, so I bought it on the spot.

Black with yellow pollen flake exterior
Black with red stitching interior
Red Calipers
18x7" and 19x8.5" Dark Fan Spoke Wheels
Spider Convenience Group
Cruise Control
Rear Parking Assist
Carbon Fiber Trim Group
Bi-Xenon Headlamps
Carbon Fiber Halo Trim Panel
Sport Tuned Dual Exhaust

I am coming from a 380RWHP Saturn Sky that I had modded heavily, but recently broke the timing chain.
Support and parts on the Sky are getting to be a Pita, so I decided that I was not going to invest any more time and money on a 10year old GM car and step up my game.
I will miss the Sky as it was a very fun car, but it is time to move on.

I also have a pretty cool Motorcycle. It's a 2006 Buell LightningBolt
[XB12R Firebolt converted to have a Lightning rear]

Topping off our Garage is the wife's 2017 Ford Focus RS

I will attach pics when my post count hits the minimum number

Welcome, looking forward to your posts and pix.

So I have these 2 metal bars with rubber ends. They kind of look like the part that lifts a motorcycle by the rear swing arm.

I have zero idea of what to call them to even begin a search. Are they used to help lifting the car?

That leads me to a question, is there an existing FAQ or similar thread on this forum?

Welcome :)
Congrats :grin2:

I'm guessing you're talking about the suspension blocks used during shipping. The dealer was suppose to return those to AR in Italy. Those are kind of rare for a end-customer to have. You might want to hang on to those. Or you can give them to me. I'm odd enough to be able to enjoy them just being part of the decor.

Don't mind Al - he likes to repeat himself. :wink2:

Congrats!

Pix? I've never seen that specific colour :grin2:

And pix of your mystery metal bars. They aren't for lifting the car, unless during shipping perhaps.
Throw them out, along with the rear-view mirror. You won't be needing those.

Check the sticky threads in the Technical section for references and indecies to answers to FAQ's.

Enjoy!

Welcome!

I am in Philadelphia. It seems like when I first joined the forum I was the only person in the area but, especially recently, there have been a lot more locals joining.

Congrats again.

Ciao from Eastern/SE Pennsy. Congrats!

I just made the move on a 4C in Malvern, PA.

I live in South Jersey, work in Malvern, PA and spend a lot of time in Chester County.

Good to see some local enthusiasts.

Quick question, I've searched but was not able to find an answer.
When in Dynamic mode is it possible to switch the Turbo pressure from bar to PSI or Kpa?
I know the translations but it
Also
Where is the OBD-II port?
I would like to see if my Dimsport Mygenius will recognize the 4C and if It needs a license.

I am thinking about going to the West Chester Cars and Coffee this Saturday. Do any of you locals go there?

I don't have a direct answer.

In the menuing system that's accessible with the three buttons on the dash, you can select meters or miles. That might change the turbo bar.

Uhm, wait. Mine shows miles and bars. Never mind.

I go there regularly to C&C in West Chester.

Get there early. It gets mobbed. I've met some nice people, but there are jerks, too. People are people.

I won't be there again until May 6. Never saw a 4C there. A Spider Veloce now and then.

Lambos, Mclarens, Ferraris plus everything from hot rodded 50 year old Minis to American Muscle. Also, a guy with a Corvette that makes fun of anything less than eight cylinders as a hobby.... with Corvette hat, jacket, chest hair, 70's mustache (he's serious. He's so stereotypical I keep waiting for him to break character, but it turns out he is real.)

Priceless! Some of us take drives afterwards through some proverbial twisty roads.

I know exactly who you are talking about.

Thanks for the answer on the OBD-II port. I'll do some playing with my various scanners this weekend and apps to see if anything can log our car at least decently

Mine too.
No biggy I just think better in PSI
