Auto Italia Canberra 2nd April 2017

Auto Italia Canberra 2nd April 2017

Auto Italia Canberra this year is on Sunday 2nd April 2017 on the lawns of Old Parliament House.

The arrangements are largely the same as last year. People wanting to display their Alfa or other Italian vehicle should arrive after 8am and be parked by 10am.

Bikes and scooters cost $10 to display, and cars are $15 and upon registration will receive a parking permit for the display area.
Spectators are free.
If you wish to become a sponsor of the event or to run a stall you should contact the Italian Cars Association, ACT at vendorinfo@autoitaliacanberra.com

The Alfas are all together on the South Western grassed area like last year. Local AROCA members have volunteered to help arrange the Alfas into an organised display so please park where and if directed. A local SES group will be on hand to help manage traffic flow.

Only a few sleeps to go.... so time to bump this post for toto4c.

Who is going?

I will be driving down from Sydney on the Sunday morning, going to the show, overnighting in Canberra and returning to Sydney on the Monday after doing a bit of sightseeing in the ACT. The Missus is coming too, so no spare seat.

For the Sydney based 4C's I guess we will be meeting up at the Pheasants Nest servo at the time in toto4c's other post, unless anyone has another rendezvous in mind? I'm based in Western Sydney near the M7, so it's straight on the motorway for me & head South, but happy to do a slight detour if we want to meet in western Sydney somewhere & cruise as a group to Pheasants Nest.

Cheers,

Alf & the Missus.

G'day Alf,
I'm thinking of going along but taking my '95 Guzzi Sport 1100. The reason is I'm taking my son (the one who was ill) and one of his mates to the footy on Sunday afternoon as the teams we support are playing each other. Kickoff is at 4PM. We know one of the medical staff of the Tigers and have got some good seats. As I'll only be staying a couple of hours it'll be easier to extracate my bike from the show than to negotiate the crowd in the 4C with a flagman leading. As for the footy, I can sense a Seinfeld moment coming as I'm a Dragons fan.
After all is said, if it looks like rain, I'll bale.

G'day fellas, I woke up ill this morning with a virus of some sort. My wife had it earlier in the week and kindly thought to share it. I've slept for most of the day and am feeling a little better. If I'm OK in the morning I'll make the effort to come down, but if I'm no better I'll give it a miss this year. Sunday was going to be a bit of a rush for me with too many things on. It looks like the weather is going to be good so it should be a very pleasant day down in Canberra.
