Group Buy Carbon Fiber Engine Cover

So I saw some of you are looking to buy a Carbon Engine cover. I was looking at them too for awhile. After talking to Eduard about it, he said if I can get 10 people together, he will offer them for $710 USD. 15 people, he'll do it for $700.

I'm starting on the list which means there is 9 spots that need to be filled to get this price. If any of you are serious about it, this is a for sure thing, no dependent on the manufacturer due to Pogea being the manufacturer. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I'll upload some pics either later tonight or in the am.

Carbon Fiber Engine Cover - Group buy

This is posted in the appearance section, I wasn't sure what was more appropriate.

I would suggest anyone interested in the other group buy do this one instead. See my post in the other thread regarding Madness jacking up the price. It certainly puts some of the Pogea/Madness drama into perspective if that's the type of business Madness is.

Quoted my post from the other thread here:

Google still has a cached version of the old page where it listed for $899 (MSRP $1,199) - Cached Link Here

Now the madness site has it at $1,049 (MSRP $1,349) - Current Link Here

So is the delay because they wanted to jack the price up on the site and give it enough time that hopefully people didn't notice?

Not sure what to say at this point...

Merged threads and left a 2-week re-direct in the "appearance" section so people are lead here.
I just think it will be simpler to track interest on one thread, and less confusing to people who want to sign up.

Any idea about shipping, @360Tom ?
It is going to cost what it is going to cost, but is Pogea shipping these from Germany, or a location in the USA?
That will make a difference. It weighs nothing, but dimensional weight on intercontinental air will add up very quickly. It's a big box.

John4C, I think your efforts worked. as both links (for me, anyway) lead to the same lower price (and just going to their website also shows the lower amount).

Guys,

Sorry to butt in a bit, but the post mentions us so we would like to clarify:

1. We did not "jack up" the price on the engine cover prior to the group buy. Our product lister added the new higher priced Red Carbon Fiber Engine Cover as a new listing now that we had it made and liked how it looked. The price for the Red Carbon Cover is more (our cost is more) and the price reflects this. By error he also changed the price of the regular cover to match which he should not have done. It was simply an error that was up online for less than 24 hours and was quickly corrected. Our group price offer did not change. Just the list price had an error. It was fixed and we posted a quick explanation in our original thread.

2. There was no conspiracy of any kind as some may think. Our products are fairly priced. We have two walk in locations in which we have worked and modified a number of 4c cars and we are enthusiasts ourselves. A quick phone call usually will help to resolve, address or fix most issues without any drama. If you do not get 100% satisfaction simply ask for upper management. We have a great team that are truly there to help, so please do not hesitate to reach out.

3. As far as our company and the "other" company that was mentioned. Let's just say that each side has their side of the story and we will keep it at that. We make it a point to never bad mouth another company or another competing product.

Thanks guys for allowing us to clarify and mods hope this post is in line.

In Madness' defence, I actually walked in the store and introduced myself as part of the group buy. I was told they are waiting on the supplier to get back to them. I told them I know about the offer socal4c got and they showed me the $899 price they had it discounted to already. I highly doubt this was done out of the intent to deceive and more likely a mistake.

I understand how this can happen but Madness is a resource we have in Los Angeles with upstanding guys who are passionate about cars. Let's hold off accusations until things are final.
