Has anyone had their OEM alpine unit professionally tuned (or have the skills to tune themselves)? I am curious with an OEM setup if people would find a much improved sound experience with a good tuning.
I don't have an OEM setup but was amazed what a difference a good tune made (after losing power to the unit and hearing the default settings).
I'm willing to bet the units are shipped with default settings and thus have a lot of room for improvement.
I tuned it myself based on the style of music I play.
It sounds better while the car is off, but with mine being a Spider, I am not going to spend much time because of wind noise and exhaust noise.
Ciao,
there is a wonderful alpine app to be downloaded where you can find lots of wonderful settings that improve very much HiFi performance.
From the app you can select test it and automatically the car stereo will be set up authomatically, after the test you can confirm making it implemented or you can test something else. It's very useful this alpine app. the app nome is Alpine tuneit app ;-)
You can also search other people setting on 2 car seats and test them... if you like it you confirm with one click from your smartphone and the car stereo is set up!
I tried the app - keeps saying no Alpine headunit detected or something along those lines. I am using my iphone directly connected to the unit. Any ideas?
