Things I Wish I Had Known When I Got The Car

Cover the front bumper with xpel (did it), AND cover the front bonnet (didnít).

Put the car in Neutral when you park just before turning off the engine so thereís no delay when you turn the key to start the engine again.

Use All Weather Mode in stop and go traffic as itís much smoother and more comfortable.

Push the play button on the Parrot after the car is running for 15-30 seconds and it starts playing music immediately with no further buttons required.

The speedometer reads about 8% faster than youíre really going (I have an LE with 18/19 wheels).

Always center the windshield wiper in the middle of the windshield before washing the car.

How very easy it is to add windshield wiper fluid.

How very easy it is to screw a license plate frame into the back SMC.

That I would never use the cruise control again after the first dayís long drive home.

What else?

Why do you have to put the wiper in the middle when washing?

So you can lift it clear of the glass without interfering with the paint on the back of the "hood" panel. Depending on panel alignment, you may not have the problem. I do. Evidently foleydb as well.

That this forum is a much better place to get answers than Alfa, the sales person, or the service advisor (well, actually I did know that).
That this forum would likely make me part with even more of my money, in aftermarket parts.
That this forum is one of he best fringe benefits to owning a 4C (kinda knew that as well, if I'm honest).

Are those speed notification things that the police put on the side of the road accurate (you know, the ones that say what the limit is then show you how fast you are going)? I've gone by at least 2 different ones in the last month and the speed it showed was exactly the same as what my speedometer read. Is the inaccurate speed reading universal or does it only effect certain cars? Like maybe just the red ones? Lol

So you don't chip your paint like I did.

In my defense, I had read the owner's manual and then completely forgot later.

Might be just the red, but it is both reds!
It may be the NAFTA cars only. Mine has the same roughly 8% optimistic reading on the speedo, based on the radar things you are describing. I tested at various speeds, in three different vehicles (one other car had a digital speed readout), and both other cars matched the radar sign exactly, at all speeds (city speed, mind you). The 4C thought it was going faster than the sign said.

foleydb is reading in MPH, and I am in Km/H. So it isn't just a conversion thing.

Not a chance. Download a GPS app for your phone and do an accurate test.

And for those who haven't been around this forum as long, there's even a function built into the wiper control/ignition that positions the wiper in the middle for you.
