Alfa 4C invited to goldRush Rally 9IN (Gold Rush Rally)

So it's official now.
My Alfa Romeo 4C and I just got invited and I just signed up for the second leg of this Gold Rush Rally from Seattle, Spokane, Jackson Hole, Park City to Las Vegas.

Going to be quite the rally and quite the cars. About 75 of the craziest cars you'll see including Bugattis, Paganis, a Hennessey Venom GT and a lot more.

This is quite the fancy affair with private track days, five star hotels fine dining and big private parties at all the best places along the way.

I was humbled to hear they felt my 4C would fit right in. It's like when I went to the Porsche Sports Driving school all over again. Me and my little Alfa among these big expensive high horsepower beasts!

And the promoter just sent me a message saying she was going to let her friends at Alfa Romeo Usa know I'm doing the event and that this way the Alfa will get even more coverage.

A great part of this rally is they're going to have an official big event with all the cars at one of my Thai Bamboo restaurants in Spokane. It will be at our flagship restaurant at 5406 N. Division St. in Spokane on Wednesday May 17th starting at 7:30 PM if anybody wants to drive over and see all these cars and me.

My team name: Thai Bamboo
I found out they wrap decal your car for you with the "goldRush Rally 9IN" logos with decals included in participation. It will be interesting to see how they decal my car. Still deciding if I want to put on a temporary crazy wrap for this or not.

And just like getting ready for a big fancy party I have to decide what type of shoes I want to wear?
Do I wear my stock big rims with big tires Hankook Vectus RS-4 200 hardness Front 225/40/18 and Rear 305/30/19 and go with a bad ass staggered look?
Or do I wear my 17 in square rim setup set up with Toyo Proxes RA1 100 hardness 255/40/ZR17 and be more practical and go with the very efficient for the track use tires? What's a girl to do!!

Nice!

I was wondering when a 4C was going to do this.

I might have to bling up the 4C a bit to roll with this group. Anybody have any gold wheels I can borrow?

Cool that you are going to be in it...looking for lots of videos and pics. Hopefully some one will do a bunch of Youtube videos of participants. As for tires....the every day tires make more sense as you won't wear the sticky ones out prematurely. Believe this is more of a car show than a car GO type of thing.

Thanks I'm thinking it's going to be cool too. I just found out that the track session was in the first half of the rally and I'm in the second half of the rally which just has a drag race. So I'm going for my street tires. They are the biggest and most blingy anyway. 305s on the back blingy!!

I'm hoping to meet someone from AR Usa. The promoter says she knows people there and she's going to tell them about this.

Yes it seems a lot of show more than go but that will be fun too. They have all kinds of cameraman and videographers and they're going to give me a copies for my promotions. So yes I should have some great videos and photos!

Only thing left to decide is if I do a temp crazy wrap on my car or not. I've already got vendors contacting me and asking to put their company decals on my car. The car is so small there's not a lot of room!

It's going to be a funny feeling parading into towns and crowds with these true supercars and hypercars. Me and my little Alfa. I feel like I need to put gold wheels and a huge gooseneck spoiler on it or something. Maybe we can do something with the wrap.

I wish my car looked more like Alex's!

Or maybe a wrap can make my 4C look like this prototype?

Honestly Al . . . you've got to quit apologizing for the 4C. It's a darn sexy car. Everyone loves it, including those in their "true" supercars and hypercars. It may be a great value, but that's not the same thing as being common. As for gold wheels, isn't someone here getting some gold HRE's soon? Maybe HRE should sponsor you.

Congrats, Tom! Sounds like it will be a lot of fun and great for your business. Definitely post lots of pics and vids.

I love Thai food, btw. I've always enjoyed it but spent a month in Asia (mostly Thailand) for my honeymoon not too long ago and I appreciate it even more now. If I'm ever in Spokane I will be sure to check out one of your restaurants.

I am sexy! Just a bit socially maladjusted around people with too much money.
(my car talking not me!)

"Vesper Lynd: All right... by the cut of your suit, you went to Oxford or wherever. Naturally you think human beings dress like that. But you wear it with such disdain, my guess is you didn't come from money, and your school friends never let you forget it. Which means you were at that school by the grace of someone else's charity: hence that chip on your shoulder. And since your first thought about me ran to "orphan," that's what I'd say you are."

Al...don't be intimidated by the more expensive cars at that event...those owners respect ALFA! Here in Detroit the Detroit chapter of the ALFA club has joint events with the Ferrari club. Those owners love seeing the 4C and in fact some of them own one too....or plan on getting one.
